Castel Volturno Italy, 2010. Bits of life of Castel Volturno's Black inhabitants, contemporary Argonauts, who crossed the Mediterranean sea on rubber boats, following their European dream. Castel Volturno, an ex-holiday-paradise in Southern Italy, is nowadays a vessel for those Subsaharians who survived the journey through the desert and over the sea. After stranding in Lampedusa and being rejected by the European Commission, the next station is Castel Volturno, without 'papers'. The African reality of Castel Volturno is transported without an objective or analytical narrative, without accusing, but through a texture made of many subjectivities. A texture made of myths, self-suggestion, references and metaphors. The film focuses on the invisible things behind what we already know about this more or less desperate reality.
