We all look into ocean and wonder what she holds in her depths. 'A Rock's Life' is the reversal - the ocean looking at us. A rock is given vision as a teenager draws eyes on it. The audience becomes the rock, seeing the world through his eyes. The very first thing he sees is another rock he instantly falls in love with. The teenager's girlfriend becomes bored by his juvenile antics and thus he throws the rock into the ocean, tearing it apart from his beloved girl rock. Under tragic circumstances, we then travel on a decent to death - observing, critiquing and forgiving humans on the way.
