Supernova (2014)

Meis and Sue are shown lying in bed topless, discussing nipple rings. Someone's hand brushes someone's breast. They kiss. No other making out or sex is shown; the degree of their intimacy is never made clear. Later, Sue is upset when Meis shows interest in boys.

In a short fantasy sequence, Meis is lying on the ground, fully clothed, and a variety of male and female hands slide over her upper torso, one of them passing over her breast.

Some conversations at various times: Mom asks Meis whether she likes boys or girls. Meis sits down in the kitchen topless and asks her father what sex is like for a guy; he suggests she should put some clothes on. Meis reads a science blurb that says male pandas want sex 108 times a year, females only 3.

At a place where adults party at night, Meis finds a used condom and sniffs it. Another day, she spies on a middle-age couple having sex in their car; we see the woman in her underclothes and a man thrusting but his butt is not exposed. This only lasts a few seconds.

Meis's clothes frequently show her midriff and her tops allow her nipples to be discerned to varying degrees. We see her in a bra a couple of times, a lower view of panties once but no lower nudity. Mom's tops usually show cleavage.

The film is about Meis, a 15-year-old girl tentatively exploring her sexuality. Probable ratings: other North Sea (NOR/SWE/DEN/GER): 7 or all ages. MPAA: R.

Early on we see how a man died, tying a heavy block to himself and jumping off a pier. It's shown from behind and we don't see him after he enters the water. Not much is said about this later.

A man driving past a girl grabs her by the arm; she slaps him and gets away; nothing more happens.

A man kicks a piece of furniture in anger but calms down.

Dad appears to consider throwing Grandma down the stairs.

A car crashes into the living room.

As English subtitled: 1 ass, 2 bastards, nothing else.

A couple of adults each briefly smoke a cigarette once. Teen Meis is shown experimenting with disapproved behavior, holding a cigarette for a moment, and holding a tube of modelling glue to her nose briefly. She shows no further interest in this. Teen Boris is seen smoking briefly once.

A group of middle-age folks party weekly at the river at the end of the road, Meis sees glimpses of them drinking and smoking.

Grandma's apparently psychologically induced continuous head-shaking may disturb some.

Dad appears to consider throwing Grandma down the stairs.

A driver crashes into the living room and may be dead.
