Climate change, oil spills and rising sea levels threaten coastlines around the Gulf of Mexico. But land loss is the region's biggest danger. Southern Louisiana is the fastest disappearing land mass on Earth. A football field of land disappears every 45 minutes in Louisiana. In 50 years, Louisiana's bayous may not extend beyond New Orleans. Who will save Louisiana? The Army Corps of Engineers? Environmentalists? Shrimpers? Cajun writer Martha Serpas interviews them all, looking for the answers. The problem for the community is agreeing on the solution.
