Die LISTE - The Young Art Fair in Basel und der Werkraum Warteck pp (2011)

Since 1996, LISTE - The Young Art Fair has taken place in the workshop community Warteck in Basel Switzerland. During the year there are over 40 projects operating in the spaces at the former brewery; craftsmen, visual artists, dancers, a neighborhood community place, a restaurant, and much more. The workshop community Warteck, which emerged from Basel's youth movement, seeks to keep itself from becoming a rusty and to be open to all things new. LISTE offers an ideal opportunity for just that. Once a year, the 'Warteckies' pack up their belongings and make room for this art fair. LISTE has developed into the most important fair for young galleries and artists. Many galleries as well as artists have begun their career at the fair.
