Last Room (2011)

Directed in Japan, Last Room is a fiction and a documentary. The occupants of love hotels and capsule hotels are told through stories both intimate and dreamy, interspersed with travel through the archipelago's landscapes. Soon, these personal stories resonate with a collective story: that of Gunkanjima, ghost island abandoned at Nagasaki, then with that of Japan as a whole.
