A historical look at the making of "Stony Island" a lost gem and time capsule of the cultural and musical scene in South Chicago in 1978. In "The Making of Stony Island, Music Makes Us One" the filmmakers, musicians and artists who brought the film to life reflect on the experience of creating one of the early examples of independent film and a soundtrack built upon the brilliant work of artists who would go on to become legends in the decades since. Special guests Chuck D of Public Enemy and legendary music producer Quincy Jones add historical and artistic context to the importance of "Stony Island" and the long lost era of South Chicago music.
