Freddie & Me

Follows the inspiring mentor relationship of a young, upper-class white kid who comes under the influence of the black, charismatic caddie-master named Freddie. Under Freddie's tutelage, young Tripp discovers the joy of golf but then is dramatically changed as a person when Freddie offers him to be the first full time white caddie on a fabled course. Through his ups and downs not only in the sport but also in life, Freddie imparts his wisdom on Tripp and teaches him that golf is more important than a 3-foot putt.
