In 1996, Jake Ferguson joined the eco-sabotage group Earth Liberation Front (ELF), which carried out a wave of arson attacks causing damages worth tens of millions of dollars. Jake grew up in prison with his father and promised himself that he would not make the same mistake. However, in 2004, caught, charged, and under intense pressure from the FBI, he had to face a terrible decision: his son or his friends. His choice to cooperate with the law meant freedom for him and long-term imprisonment for his friends. What is Jake doing now? Has he truly shed the motives of his past? The film offers a glimpse into ELF through the eyes of Jake, his co-conspirator Chelsea Gerlach, and special agent John Ferreira.
