PARADISE DERANGED is about how Gentrification has disrupted our lives and our quality of life. The film uses Greenwich Village as a symbol of change and loss. Once the Village was a supportive community of artists and now it is millionaires row. Once it was filled with small scale houses, second hand bookstores, and antiques. But now it has large scale condominiums, hotels, porno shops, and boutiques. Has Gentrification made. our communities lose it's Soul?
