Mary has always believed she is destined for greater things as a medium, such as getting on TV. But much to her dismay, her career has never taken off. Of course she doesn't acknowledge that her excessive drinking and rambunctious nature has had anything to do with holding her back. Mary has a reputation for being frighteningly accurate with her revelations from the other side, but there is only one problem - either the message is brutally and excruciatingly honest which makes the recipient party cower or cry with embarrassment (much to the amusement of other members in the audience), or maybe the message is closer to home, and may actually be for Mary herself. Though Mary clearly has a gift as a medium, what she can't identify is when the message from the other side is for herself. So when a long forgotten child makes themselves known, its leads to a complete upheaval of her family relationships. But even as relationships comically unravel, this fractured group of people find a way to form a family.
