In the morning of a bright spring holiday a chariot slowly rides on the seafront of Pesaro, Italy. Sitting on it Gioachino Rossini, long on the tooth, makes an imaginary and surreal travel in time, going in a day in the places he loved in his hometown, recalling his most important memories: his mother singing for him, his childhood as a chorister, his idealistic love for the beautiful and bizarre Costanza, wife of his best friend, and seeing how the city changed and the fruits his legacy brought.
