Close follows preteen Keegan Agulhas as he battles grown men in chess tournaments and struggles to match the success of his champion sister. Close screened at festivals such as the Costa Rica International Film Festival, Rhode Island International Film Festival, Culture Unplugged, Williamsburg International Film Festival (Certificate of Merit), International Black Film Festival of Nashville, Cinema on the Bayou Film Festival, San Francisco Black Film Festival, Women's Independent Film Festival (Best Story Concept, Best Cinematography).
