When the recently retired PAK A'AD looks to spend his newfound freedom, he decides to learn how to tap dance like his childhood heroes, the legendary Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly and plans to go USA to proceed his dreams. But his family affairs stops him to do so, he decided to pursue his dream within the country, again the traditional society he lives in frowns upon anything from the West. PAK A'AD soon gets motivated to perform in the upcoming Malaysia Day event called "FESTIVAL MALAYSIA DAY" in front of the Prime Minister. Initially he practices away from public eye, controversy soon erupts and brings PAK A'AD into the limelight. PAK A'AD's enthusiasm inspires both admirers and detractors, as people from all walks of life begin to debate on the true intention of PAK A'AD and the meaning of freedom: does freedom lies within the country, or its people?
