Where Best We Belong tells the story of two brothers as they face the perils of growing up in a world in which they barely really exist.Charlie and Kipper, with their vivacious, animated ensemble of friends, emerge from the corners and crevices of a side to Brighton that the postcards do not know; seeking not only to escape, but keep one another afloat, they exist as a unit, a single entity of dependence, love and camaraderie.Caught in the tides of their father's abusive outbursts and drowning in the grief of their absent mother, the boys strive for something to hold on to, a buoyancy aid that is not just flesh and blood, but a means of showing them that there is somewhere that they truly belong.
