Blue Heaven is the street name for the drug, containing a fictional chemical "Myxe-Kondioxydos," that creates a sedative allowing its users to escape reality for a dangerous amount of time. "The film was produced by the city and people of Kansas City, MO. Countless actors and members of small towns came together to help me make this. I was 18 and had a 160 page script and bright eyes and I think everyone just wanted to give me a chance. We filmed it for a month straight, most of it unpaid, people contributed more than they got back, but by the time it was sponsored by CinemaKC for a public premiere and accepted into the Kansas City International Film Festival's feature category, it felt like it was all worth it to show how eager and hungry Kansas City's art community is."
