West Coast (2016)

There is not really any sex or nudity, mainly only a scene where a teenage boy and a teenage girl, both in their underwear, prepare to have sex, but do not continue, and another scene where the print of a woman's breasts is faintly visible through the water-drenched shirt she is wearing. Whereas there are numerous times when young boys colloquially mention sexual intercourse.

In one scene, Flé O and Copkiller are shown passed out on a sofa, their heads closely abutting each other in such a way that a continuous doodle of male genitalia extends from the left cheek of one boy's face to the right cheek of other's: the hairy scrotum on Flé-O, and the adjoining penis on Copkiller. Moments elapse before they begin wiping the sharpie ink from their faces.

There is a whole short subplot involving a prepubescent or barely-pubescent boy trying charm a woman that he has only just met, doing so with the blatant overstated objective of seeing her bare breasts.

In the scene of the awkward attempt at love-making, the teenage boy can be briefly seen with both of his hands touching the teenage girl's brassiere-covered breasts, as he sits beside her. In a separate shot, he is laying down and she is on top of him, as runs her hand down his bare chest.

No gore. The violence consists of nothing more severe than two forms: a young boy pointing a firearm at teenage boy, demanding an apology from him; and a teenage boy smacking a young boy on the cheek, knocking him to the ground.

In the scene involving the slap, the young boy was carrying a bottle containing wet feces collected from a toilet bowl, and he planned to splash the contents of the bottle on the teenage boy, before he was shut down faster than he could react. In a much later scene, a teenage girl does manage to trick the teenage boy into quickly pouring the contents of the bottle into his mouth, vaguely in the manner in which beer or liquor would be knocked back.

A young boy throws a baseball at a barking dog who is out of frame. There is the thud sound of the ball colliding, and the dog immediately stops barking. The dog, possibly having been made dizzy, can be seen curled up with a very passive demeanor.

In aspiring to behave in the style of hip-hop gangsters, the four boys of the Serial Killer "posse" often endearingly call each other "négro" or "néger", while arrogantly referring to women as "putes" (meaning "bitches", "sluts" or "whores"). They also sometimes curse, shouting the word "putain" or saying phraes containing it in various contexts. Plenty of other curse words are uttered as well, like "merde" (meaning "shit"), even in literal reference to feces.

In one scene, a young boy says, "Putain. Nique sa mère, le flingue on va à la teuf." In another scene, a young boy says to a teenage boy, "T'as voulu test avec mon posse, pute de merde!"

A teenage boy says, "Le pédé a une vraie meuf." Which contains a noun that may be derogatory toward homosexual males, like in the same way as "faggot".

From French to English, the translations in the form of subtitles or dubbing, for this movie, may provide the word "fuck" as the interpretation of some instances of the word "putain".

There is a whole scene involving a young boy and a teenage boy both smoking a marijuana blunt, and experiencing an altered state of mind accordingly, including incredibly distorted perception. In another scene, the four boys can be briefly seen drinking liquor. Beyond this, there are no hard drugs mentioned let alone depicted.

At a party with lots of teenagers and young grownups drinking beer or liquor, a young man is shown carry-dragging a incapacitated young woman.

Apart from the scene in which the firearm is discharged, mainly the only frightening scene is the one where a fast-moving automobile almost collides with a young boy. All of these dramatic scenes commence in a slightly comic manner.

Another scene involving fast-moving automobiles is more so intense than frightening, whereby a teenage boy, who has been startled by the presence of an oncoming police car with sirens blaring, suddenly maneuvers the car he is driving in a very sharp left turn off of a highway and onto a forest trail.

There is some suspense in the scene taking place inside a retirement home building, where the four boys find themselves fleeing and hiding from the police.
