Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea is one of the world's most dangerous places to be a woman. Because of violence and discrimination, transgender persons are most often homeless, unemployed, denied education and medical care and living under the greatest possible threat of robbery and murder. There is one transgender woman who is loved by nearly every person in Papua New Guinea. The iconic recording artist and legendary entertainer Moses Moshanty Tau is a national hero and a beacon to the transgender community of the entire South Pacific. Filmed over a weekend in the fall of 2017 and including her last live performances, I'm Moshanty. Do You Love Me? is an introduction and a musical tribute to the career of the transgender activist with a mother's heart, teeth of gold and the voice of a coronet. Hear her journey from a tiny Motuan village to a mis-gendered public figure at the top of the South Pacific music industry. In her final interview, Moshanty shares her personal truth and her greatest desires as a woman with her millions of fans.
