Snake Oil (2018)

In a small town in Jutland, Romanian refugee Slobodan befriends native Dane Carl, a lonesome young man, have an unusual encounter. They quickly bond over their mutual interests in music and become fast friends. Slobodan struggles with his unfulfilled lifestyle. Carl often asks about what Slobodan does for a living, but he always avoids the subject. After a night of strolling the local town, an intoxicated Carl persistently interrogates Slobodan, after he received an urgent business call and must leave Carl behind. The two get into an argument, leaving Carl desperate to show Slobodan that he is not a child, so he follows him to a party. At the party, Slobodan surprised to see Carl there and observes him taking some drugs. A quarrel ensues and it ends up in a way worse than either of their nightmares could imagine.
