George Sluizer, an eximious storyteller with a life full of them, is in front of you. The boy that run away from the German-occupied France, after that, in his early years travelled the world, as an adult escaped from the death proclaimed by machines and, at the evening, accepted nothingness without regrets. He was always a filmmaker, of all kind, from the confrontation to the empowered Ariel Sharon up to the last film by the actor River Phoenix. We are offered nothing to distract, not even references to what it is being told, all the attention focuses on him and his telling, it is between his friend speech - the film director Rudolf Van der Berg - and his own thanks speech for the ShortCutz career award in Amsterdam.
