Why do the myths of the plot invade the minds of our contemporaries? Why does the treatment of politics tend to become "peoplelising"? Why are traditional scientists and media now suspicious? How, in a general way, imaginary or invented facts, even frankly false, succeed more than ever in carving out a place of choice in our media circles? Inspired by Gérald Bronner's hit book, The Democracy of the Gullible, the film questions the unprecedented springboard that the Internet offers to "complotists" to the detriment of the word "experts". Traditionally, a minority of specialized moderators filtered the content of the media. Today, with the Internet, all opinions, opinions and contributions are put at the same level, without hierarchy or sorting. Facebook's "Like" sometimes have more credibility than an encyclopedic article - In this context, does the knowledge still have a chance before the belief?
