Nelita, Nina and Rita are all in their seventies and have been friends since childhood. When they were young they walked through the neighborhood of Bixiga, São Paulo like it was their own homes. They grew up with dreams: stay friends and do well in life to get rich. Only the first came true. Nelita is the owner of an antique store, Nina owns a restaurant and Rita is a retired teacher. They live on tight budgets and have simple lives with their husbands expect for Rita -who is a closeted lesbian even the 21st century. For fifty years they play the lottery weekly and are used to losing, until one day they win. Not too much money but enough to fix their lives, as long as their husbands don't find out beforehand. After years and years of dedicating themselves to others- husbands, children, grandchildren, nephews, godchildren, dogs - they decide to use the prize themselves. They lie to their husbands and leave to fish in the Pantanal, travel to the Latin American Vegas: Punta del Este, where they treat themselves without limits. A comedy-drama with absolutely true characters who connect to the audience. Characters that we want to sit with and hear their stories played by a stellar cast. A story that will enchant audiences in Brazil and Uruguay.
