Equilibria (2018)

"Equilibria" focuses on the delicate balance that exists in all of us. It follows our protagonist, Ava, who battles clinical depression and is on the verge of suicide. We follow her struggle as it unfolds, and witness how an unexpected source of hope can spell her survival and ultimately her salvation. At its core, it is envisioned as a dark psychological thriller and will be an imagery-driven nuanced interpretation of the "Angel on Shoulder" plot device. The two forces at war will be "depression" vs. "vitality". Only visible to Ava, "Vitality" will come in the form of an Hana'el - a being of light. "Depression" or "emptiness" will manifest as an Irritum, an insidious demon that awaits to consume her will to live when the scales tip to its favour. Will the balance survive?
