Inspired by the poem titled "The Guilt of Being Alive is Heavy" written by Patience Carter, a survivor of the Orlando Pulse Nightclub shooting in June of 2016, 'A Matter of Minutes' explores the traumas of a fictional character, Tasia, who experiences and survives that night in the club bathroom. At a dinner with friends, she is triggered by her PTSD and ends up in the bathroom of the restaurant. There, she relives memories of that fateful night as she tries to overcome the survivors guilt that eats at her for losing her best friend, and heal from the emotional wounds the gunman left on her.
