An artist spends his days in the house inherited by obscure benefactors resurfacing in his dreams. Soon the tide of memories will corrode the last bulwarks of conscious memory, leading him beyond the boundaries of the wake, where concrete unreality will restore a new "gravity" to the beauty of pain.
