Rogério Sampaio's story towards the Olympic conquest is distinguished by its strong overcoming component. Absent for almost three years of official competitions and shortly after suffering with the tragic death of his brother Ricardo, his mentor and training partner, the athlete had to overcome general distrust. The choice of a director with a huge relationship with judo - cut just before the Olympics in Atlanta 1996 and Sidney 2000 - gives the documentary an intimate character.
