Down in the Dumps (2018)

Writer/Director John Michael Hightower Jr {DARK INTENTIONS, SONG FOR THE WOUNDED} brings to the screen a short film about depression/anxiety awareness. Christy {Elizabeth Bachmann- DARK INTENTIONS, RIPPLES} always seems to be moody all the time and she can't quite figure out why. Her friend Sarah {Cheyenne Petty- DARK INTENTIONS, THE RISING} seems to always be in demand with the guys and constantly tries to get Christy to "live a little." However, after Sarah and her boyfriend show their true colors, Christy steps up and helps a cheated waitress (Morgan Rose) . After the waitress introduces her to her therapist {Angela O'Brien- DARK INTENTIONS, A MAN'S WORLD} and she meets a lovable guy with his own fears to conquer (Austin Royal- A MAN'S WORLD), Christy learns about herself, her feelings and a newfound hope as she takes hold of her life and learns that her depression does not have to rule her future or her life.
