For the past six months, Jewish settler Elhanan Oppenheim and his young family have recorded a traumatic period in their lives. Israel's recent change of government (after Yitzhak Rabin of the Labour Party won against the Likud Party in the 1992 Israeli legislative election) threatened the settlers' struggle to increase their numbers on the occupied West Bank (which they call Samaria). Oppenheim's diary chronicles his defiant attempts to pick up the pieces of his dream.
