Jane Ellis, a support worker from a small village outside Liverpool, has been assigned to the most personal and hard-hitting case yet. The Andrews family were just an ordinary happy family unit, until their precious 16 year old daughter was hit by a van, leaving her in a coma for three months. During this critical time, Jane Ellis becomes the backbone support for the stricken parents who are anguished by the lack of justice served for their daughter. The desperation for justice and time is evermore fraught with, when the Mother is diagnosed with terminal cancer. Outside of her professional capacity, Ellis takes it upon herself to try and 'fix' things for the family, but still finds herself fighting from the shadows of grief over her dead son Daniel.
