Born from a recently migrated Mexican family, Luis grew up in and around Little Rock, Arkansas. In 2020, Luis received a B.A. from the University of Central Arkansas in Film Production and Art. Luis wrote, directed, and produced "Los Vagos", which has screened in several festivals and was a finalist at the Indie Short Fest for best short. His short, "Luis" was a finalist for #SeeAlice x PBS American Portrait Persona. Shortly after, Luis created and wrote a zine series, "Embrace", which was published by Fluke Publishing. In 2021, looking to connect the art community, Luis created an artist collective, "Weazel Lifestyle", where he curated and sold artist's works. Luis was also the chief editor and a writer for Weazel Lifestyle's monthly magazine, "The Weazel". In 2022, Luis worked as a TV Producer for Arkansas PBS, where he produced, edited, and directed segments, videos, and programs for live television. In 2023, Luis produced Arkansas's first ever Latino feature film, "Llego Hoy", which is currently playing in select theaters. Currently, Luis is in post-production for his feature film, "Pigeon Tongue", which he produced and directed in Bucharest, Romania.
