George Barr is the left-handed Aquarius best known as the creator and showrunner of the award-winning web soap opera "Roads To Keystone" (RTK), starring his alter ego Ingenue. RTK has been nominated a total of 8 times at the prestigious Indie Series Awards. It picked up the win for "Best Makeup" twice in a row. The first year, Ingenue accepted the award from thee Lou Diamond Phillips. The second year, Barr accepted from Kate Linder (Esther, "The Young and the Restless). That year, Barr was also up for "Best Costume Design" and ... drum roll, please ... "Best Lead Actor - Comedy." The show also had its second nomination for "Best Original Song." The song is "Curious" by Colin Deane, who guest stars as himself. Deane was nominated previously in that category for the show for his song "Remember." In 2023, Barr received another nomination. It was for "Best Guest Performer - Comedy," where Barr portrayed Peter Gunther in the web comedy "Status Updates," created by RTK star Brad Ulbrich. Barr's entire performance was 14 seconds! Barr began his entertainment career at 15. He served as the showrunner and director of several home video television shows, including the original "Roads To Keystone." In fact, RTK just celebrated its 30th anniversary. After graduating as his high school Class Valedictorian, Barr attended the University of Michigan -- Ann Arbor and received a Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA) from their #1 undergraduate business program at the Ross School of Business. He also had the honor of creating and producing the university's very first soap opera ever to air on campus, "Beyond the Ivy." Once he moved to Los Angeles, he worked at CBS, paying bills for "The Young and the Restless" and "The Bold and the Beautiful." He then jumped over to a CBS series called "Buddy Faro," produced by his idol Mr. Aaron Spelling. It was short-lived, but Barr moved on to another show and then to various other positions, learning all aspects of the entertainment business. When he created RTK in 1991, he loved playing all the roles on the show. Back then, he played 10 characters. On the web version, he will eventually play 20! Tracey Ullman was his inspiration. He believed if Tracey could play male characters then he could play females. Barr believes that eventually RTK will be ready for the masses and a bigger platform, as men playing women in television and movies seems to be the future, as gender is being redefined. He also has six more guilty pleasure television shows in various stages of development, awaiting their chance to hit the air. He co-writes these with Christopher Smith, RTK's Father Finnegan. Recently, Barr wrote two feature films with his bad-ass 'sis, Emmy Award winning TV Host Carly Steel. At her production company, he serves as Creative Executive over Feature Films and TV Series. He is also a freelance script doctor and professional drag queen. He is repped by UTA -- well, maybe someday!
