Matt Sy

Matt Sy is a versatile actor, athlete, and engineering graduate with a deep passion for storytelling. His journey into acting began at an early age, but he briefly set aside his dreams to focus on becoming an international baccalaureate candidate and later graduated from California Polytechnic State University with a degree in engineering. After college, Matt spent a year exploring diverse cultures and experiences in places like Hawaii, the Philippines, Costa Rica, and Japan. During these travels, Matt rediscovered his love for film and television. Since then, Matt has fully committed to his acting career, training at Berg Studios under the guidance of a Yale School of Drama alumnus, and refining his skills through various workshops and intensives. His athletic background in basketball, boxing, kickboxing, muay thai, and long-distance running, along with his diverse range of physical skills, complements his work in front of the camera, where he strives to embody the characters he portrays. Matt has appeared in commercials for major brands like Disneyland Parks and Valley Strong Credit Union, and starred as Caesar in the short film Infatuated (2024). He is SAG-AFTRA eligible and continues to hone his craft with aspirations to create impactful stories through film and television.
