Lizet Upia

Lizet Upia is an American Actress born in Brooklyn, New York, to Felix and Maria Upia as the youngest of four. Both of her parents are originally from the Dominican Republic making for a very unique upbringing as first generation in New York City. In the midst of her growing curious nature, at the age of 8, Lizet discovered her passion for singing and the performing arts by way of her childhood church. Here she sang, danced and performed in various productions. Little did she know, this was only the beginning of an incredible journey moving forward with purpose and momentum. By age 15, Lizet embarked on her acting career by joining the prestigious John Robert Powers Modeling and Acting school in New York City. This is where she learned about various acting techniques that would continue to guide her further into her flourishing talents and gifts in the performance arts. Not only did this formal training provide an excellent outlet filled with creative energy, it was the inevitable start to her professional acting career. Lizet began performing on stage appearing in The Wizard Of Oz and Just Say No amongst other independent productions. By age 24, an entrepreneurial makeup business created the perfect opportunity for Lizet to relocate to Los Angeles, CA to pursue her dreams. Landing roles in films such as Hello Romance and A Dance Story is just the tip of the iceberg for this gifted actress. She's got steely determination, embraces challenges, and is dedicated to playing her part. We have never been so certain. We have never felt so eager.
