Dinjith Ayyathan

Dinjith Ayyathan is an Indian film VFX creative director and Film maker who has worked on films,and commercials. born in Kerala (south India). His Short film, To Be A Star had bagged the best film in Diamond short film fest in Kerala and the best child actor award for Thapasya Short film festival. He also directed few ad films, He co-ordinated the VFX works for the movies Philips and The Monkey pen,1983, Jo And The Boy,Action Hero Biju etc. Also co-ordianted in making the 2D animation sequences in state award winning movie Zakhariyayude Garbhinikal, Philips and the Monkey Pen and Asha black. He was born on 22 August 1979 to Divakaran Ayyathan and Vasantha in Kannur. He grew up in Thalassery,Kannur. He did graduation for bachelor of Fine arts in Visual communication. Dinjith married Sharmila Mohandas on 22 May 2005. The couple have a two kids Dhyan,Dhev. He has handful experience of 14+ years in Indian Animation Industry. He has worked with leading studios in India as Supervising Animator, for major projects like Little Krishna[1], which is the highest TRP rated animation television series till date, and also worked for many international projects for Disney, Wild Brain Studios[2] and Nickelodeon_(India). After doing the Film course of moving images from IMI Pune[3], He directed some animation short films, and his debut venture , A mail for Col. John Weits[4], which is a 3D animated short film, has won silver medal for the second best animated short film at 13th TBS DIGICON Film Festival held in Japan, also nominated and screened in several film festivals like, International short film festival of Kerala, and Ladakh International film festival. A mail for Col. John Weits was the only entry from India, into the BANG awards held in Portugal, which is an international animation film festival and selected from 100+ entries into the finals along with some other movies. He is with Keyframes Animation Studios,as the creative director, and has directed the home DVD movie 'Torpedo, The Magic Goggle' [5] which introduced the first animated superhero in Malayalam and this film had a screening at International Malayalam Film Awards. Torpedo-is-the-new-Malayali-Superhero (IMFA_2012), held in Dubai and nominated for the best animated home DVD movie at FICCI BAF-2013, took place in Mumbai.
