Kaori Sawada

Kaori Sawada is a Japanese singer-songwriter, composer, and pianist. Born in Seattle, Washington, and raised in Tokyo, Japan. She began to play the piano at the age of three and started creating music. After attended Toho Gakuen Music High School where she studied classical composition, she got her bachelor's degree in contemporary writing and production from Berklee College of Music in 2008. After returning to Japan, she toured with MISIA, Yosui Inoue as a back-up singer and a keyboardist, also started her career as a composer for TV commercials. In 2015, her debut single "Shiawase No Tane" was released. The song reached number 1 on Japanese iTunes Store chart. After releasing 2 albums and touring all 47 prefectures in Japan, she moved to Los Angeles in 2018 to pursue her career as a film composer.
