Kaylee Dawn Santell was born on January 23rd, 2003 in DuBois, Pennsylvania. She is the daughter of Larissa Santell, a physical therapist assistant, and David Santell, a welder. She has a brother named Kyle Santell who is 2 years younger than her. Growing up, Kaylee lived a simple life. Went to public school, got good grades. She was often bullied but got through it. The acting bug hit Kaylee Santell when she was 9 years old. With the encouragement of her mother, Kaylee participated in the summer workshop program at her local theater and fell in love with acting. For 5 years, Kaylee participated in the program as an actress. The next 4 years, Kaylee changed her sights to filmmaking, as she had fallen in love with the process. 6 years after Kaylee started going to the program, she decided to start directing the shows. Ever since then, Kaylee fell in love with the art of acting and the filmmaking process. Kaylee was dealt a curve ball, however, when in 2017, at 14 years old, Kaylee was diagnosed with a genetic disorder called Turner's Syndrome. This diagnosis caused Kaylee to focus a lot on film and theater, distracting her from her disorder. Kaylee's first released film was "Howitzer Tales: The Appalachian Hills; A Song Without Words", which was a Christmas-themed short. Kaylee played Katie Simpson, a young girl who learns the meaning of Christmas and the special place she has within the Appalachian Hills settlement in a world where corporations bought everything up. This film was released in 2018 and is available on YouTube under the channel MaW Mediaworks.
