Bijan Shemirani

American actor Bijan Shemirani was born in Park Ridge, Illinois. Bijan's mother, Debbie, is from Cincinnati, Ohio and his father Mohammad is originally from Tehran, Iran. He has two sisters, Azadeh and Yassaman. He is of Iranian, Irish and Scottish descent. Bijan grew up the northwest suburbs of Chicago and attended Notre Dame College Prep for high school where he was heavily involved with drama and soccer, coined by many as a class clown. He attended the University of Kansas where he majored in Theatre and Political Science and was a social chair for the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Originally wanting to be a lawyer, this path quickly changed as he fell in love with comedy and acting. Bijan is a student at The Actors Training Center in Wilmette, IL and has trained through Second City and is a member of The Afterthoughts Improv troupe. Bijan loves soccer, Manchester United and skateboarding. One of his biggest influences and close friend, Arthur Swidzinski (Producer of Shred America), a documentary filmmaker, grew up with Bijan living a few blocks away. Arthur introduced Bijan to filmmaking in their teens and would always let Bijan use his camera to capture their skate missions and everything along the way, the two remain close friends.
