Philip Filimonau (also known as Phil Bearz) is a young aspiring filmmaker. He was born in 1998 in Moscow to a family of media professionals. His mother was an international TV news reporter and a documentary director, his father - a television producer, an author and a host for an analytical show and, later, a chief editor for a number of Russian printed media. Phil was a frequenter at filming spots and editing studios since early age. His first big appearance was at 7, in the 'Touching Russia. The Tale' documentary. At 8 Philip has decided he'd become a cartoon director, for what he draw a lot. He was also good at music classes, apparently, thanks to the ancestry gift from his grand-mother, who was a professional musician, besides a children books writer. His first own production (at 19 y.o) was Lignum, a short narrative, where Philip expressed his care and support to the Mother Nature, sending a warning message to people, saying that people's reckless disrespect to the life, which surrounds us, will cause the revolution of the life against us eventually. Traveling roads of both, wild nature and the Earth's civilization was always the most favorite time away of film production and drawing for Phil. After the high school graduation Phil joined the State Linguistic University of Belarus (his parent's native country) to study English and German languages along with a mass communication program. The professional film making started at 20, assisting the prominent Russian film director Dmitriy Astrakhan and continued at Baltic Film School (Estonia), where Phil learns a professional film directing, writing and producing.
