Boma Akpore, an only child, was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. He grew up playing soccer, hoping to play pro some day. In 2003, he was scouted by his childhood best friend's older brother, Ola Olowu , who worked for TBWA, a well known advertising agency in Nigeria. Boma was chosen for a campaign with MTN, one of Africa's largest Telecommunication networks. He took part in Nigerian Fashion Week 2004, one of the most prestigious shows held in the country. Boma was the youngest model to grace that runway. He immediately became sought after and went on to model for top designers as JD 7, Adedakare Couture and House of Bunor, and brands such as Heineken and Guinness. In October 2008, Boma traveled to London to represent West Africa (as the only male model) for the "Music on The Runway Charity Fashion Show." In February 2010 he traveled to Dallas to represent Africa (again as the only male model) for "Haute African Fashion Week (Charity event to raise money for malaria)." Boma relocated to the US in 2011 to pursue more opportunities in soccer and modeling. While living in New York, he played with Irish Rovers Soccer Club in Long Island. Boma helped them win both the league and league cup. In 2013, he went to Belgium to try out for Gent Zeehaven (now K.R.C Gent), of the 3rd Division. Although the tryout was successful, paperwork prevented him signing with the club. Depressed, he returned to New York and resumed his training. In 2015, he gave one more try at his childhood dreams, traveling to Poland for a soccer camp. After a brief but successful spell in Poland, he moved to Belgium to play for a semi-pro team. In 2016, Boma got an opportunity to try out in Scotland against the Scottish Premiership teams (Hamilton Academical and Patrick Thistle). The injuries he sustained during the games cut his football dreams short. In 2016, Boma Akpore represented Nigeria in the Mr. Imperial Universe Pageant held in Puerto Rico, where he was second Runner-Up. He went on to win the Best Body Imperial Universe 2016 Award. He returned to New York to concentrate on modeling. Since his return, he has worked for brands such as Dior, Gucci, Coca-Cola and Smirnoff Vodka. Boma walked the runway during New York Fashion Week, made an appearance on SNL's Donald Glover episode and was featured in Janet Jackson's "Made for Now" video. He enrolled at the New York Film Academy in 2017. Also appeared in " Blacklist 616 ". Also Recently join the cast of Hollywood first all Black Egyptian Film "Protector Of The gods. Boma continues to strive towards success and achieving his goals.
