Fran Sisco is a female entertainer, artist and writer. (A) As a writer and filmmaker, Fran wrote and produced two short films and wrote one award-winning screenplay: (1) Happy Trains Girl Like Me - 2018 (Winner of Best LGBT Short Documentary at several film festivals including: The Cutting Room International Short Film Festival, NYC (10/18) The Venus Italian International Film Festival (Las Vegas, NV (7/19) The Five Continents Film Festival (online) (Venezuela) (4/19) The film has been nominated at the AOF Megafest (Las Vegas, NV - 7/19), The Hollywood Dreams Film Festival (Las Vegas, NV - 7/19), The South Film and Arts Academy Film Festival (Chile) (7/19). Also the lyrics for the song "Happy Trans Girl Like Me" has been nominated for Best Musical Lyrics, and won Best Poster at the The Venus Italian International Film Festival (Las Vegas, NV (7/19) (2) "The Past Comes Back" - Fran Sisco's 20-page TV or film script called "The Past Comes Back" has been a winner at The South Film and Arts Academy Film Festival (Chile) (7/19) nominated at the following festivals festivals including The Venus Italian International Film Festival (Las Vegas, NV (7/19), AOF Megafest (Las Vegas, NV - 7/19), The Hollywood Dreams Film Festival (Las Vegas, NV - 7/19), The South Film and Arts Academy Film Festival (Chile) (3/19). (3) "Being a Trans Girl" - Fran Sisco's short film (about 10 minutes) was screened at Yofifest in 2016. (B) As a songwriter and performer, Fran has written over 50 songs, many of which have been performed by herself and others at various locations throughout the country, and some songs are included in her upcoming play called "Once A Boy." (C) As comedian, Fran has appeared in over 100 performances at major venues in NYC like Dangerfield's Comedy Club, Caroline's on Broadway, Greenwich Village Comedy Club, The Stand, The Stonewall Inn and scores of other locations. Her comedy is sharpened because of her (1) comedy writing for stand-up, sketch, essay, plays, and films (2) other types of performances (singing, dancing, hosting, etc.) (3) art and (4) living as a transgender female since 1/1/11 and (5) life experience in both left-brain and right-brain activities. (D) As a prolific writer, for over 50 years, of writings including films, plays (including "Once A Boy"), songs, poems, essays, comedy sketches, jokes for stand-up comedians, short stories, non-fiction how-to guides and her upcoming self-published 1300-page book called "Left-Brain, Right-Brain and the Soul." Fran's right-brain skills also include being an entertainer (over 10 shows performed over the last 8 years), artist (over 10 of her paintings including acrylic abstract paintings and sculptures have been featured in many art shows and galleries, winning awards), (E) As an actor in an award-winning short film, written and directed by Brad Forenza, called "Awakening Arlene" in which Fran plays the part of Jill, with other stars Jo Walker and Vincent Pastore. Cast in the role of ______ in Lady Yang, a comedy film in development. Played in three shows of the musical Mame (in Harrison, NY in 2018) as Gregor and as the Modern Dance Leader, and in the ensemble of nearly all numbers). (F) Visual artist, with acrylic paintings on concepts including gender, relationships, spirituality, and 3 steel sculptures, one an first place winner. (G) Left brain side, and other - Fran also has a Left-brain life serving the needs of about 100 clients as their CPA and financial advisor, while expanding her creative, entertaining and community work. She began her financial career after graduation from Iona College BBA cum laude, at Price Waterhouse serving companies of all sizes, but then focused on personal financial planning serving individuals and small businesses, including as a representative of securities companies. After transitioning to living full-time as a female on 1/1/11, Fran supercharged her entertaining and creating, including as a stand-up comedian and a singer/performer, appearing in scores of clubs and venues, and as a host, emcee and honoree at several shows, including famous venues in New York City and surrounds. Fran's long-running "Crisis Help Radio Show" has helped individuals and organizations cope with stress, anxiety and crisis, and she frequently gives motivational talks, sometimes to large groups. She has published scores of essays and her original and co-written songs have been performed widely. She has sung and danced in over fifty charity performances with the Imperial Court of New York alone. (H) Fran has served the community through non-profits, often as a board member and combining her financial expertise and her creative and performance skills.
