Mbuyamba Tshimanga

Born October 5,1993 in Kinsasha, Democratic Republic of Congo, to Mikusu Tshimanga and Mubanda Akir. Mbuyamba Tshimanga was once a former football player and also known for his prolific life story of determination. Raised in Kinsasha until age 3, Mbuyamba's family immigrated to Dallas, Texas in 1997 where they suffered a series of substantial hardships. However, despite these challenges, Mbuyamba excelled in both sports and academics at Richland High School in North Richland Hills, Texas. Prior to accepting a full scholarship at Oklahoma State University, Mbuyamba received over 30 reported football scholarship offers including University of Alabama, Oregon LSU, Stanford, and UCLA. While at OSU, Mbuyamba excelled as a linebacker; however, after suffering repeated injuries in his sophomore year, Mbuyamba made the decision to walk away from his football career to focus on academics. After interning at Textron Aviation Mbuyamba was awarded his degree in Political Science from OSU and after graduation Mbuyamba accepted a position with Lockheed Martin the world's top aerospace defense company. In 2019 Mbuyamba accepted a position with Northrop Grumman Aerospace systems. Mbuyamba interest in the arts and entertainment began in 2011 when he starred in an episode of Fox's "Sports Stars of Tomorrow." Thereafter in 2014, while at OSU, Mbuyamba worked in with OSU TV to document his life story. In July 2018, Mbuyamba moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue a career in acting where he attended Lesly Kahn Acting School in Hollywood, California.
