Manny Mac Vela

As a person with high-functioning autism, Manny Mac "Macco" Vela didn't have a voice so to speak until he was 5. Manny Mac grew up in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas and is in his third year of independent living in Austin. Manny Mac is proud of his accomplishments. He has participated in well over a dozen Austin Film Casting opportunities as an extra. Growing up during the Disney Renaissance Era, along with the revival of Broadway musicals, helped Manny Mac find his voice. "My brain is wired for a meticulous acuity for sound and my voice reflects that." With the strength of America rooted in its diversity and the current rate of autism being 1 in 59 (CDC), Manny Mac challenges the entertainment industry to reflect the same.
