Stalyn Tejada

Stalyn Miguel Tejada Hernandez Born in Dominican Republic on October 9th 1990. Lived until his 18 years old in a rural location in the northern side of the island called San Fco. de Macoris. He graduated from High school at the age of 16th, allowing him to get into college very young. He studied English for about three years in a private English school because he knew some day he had to travel out of his country. On 2009 he had to travel to the New York, USA, with two of his brothers and his father looking for a better life. He carried with him half of a career in Civil Engineering, which he had to validate to continue his studies in CUNY Hostos CC in the Bronx. On 2016, Stalyn was able to finish his Associate degree in Digital Design after having a lot of difficulties in life. While working and studying, my father had to go back to our natal country in which he stood for over 3 years, leaving me as head of our household in New York and as older brother he had to take care of his siblings. Being inspired by ongoing growth in his natal country film industry, he gets inspired to follow his dream to become a film director that could bring new approaches to the telling of stories. On 2019 he graduated in the major of Film and Video from the University of City College of New York. As of now, Stalyn Tejada is well known by his collaboration with New York Latin Media; Raquel Urena CEO and casting and Theatre Director Carlos Alfredo Fatule, Celebrity that Co-Produce "El Taller de la Vida", a Tv show pilot aimed for the Latin American people living in New York in which a whole acting class took participation and served then as their graduation thesis project. He has directed two shot films so far: Not So Innocent (2018) and Stakes (2020), which is actually participating in film festivals. He goals in his career are aiming to one day be able to Direct a successful feature film for one of the major Film studios in the business, and be part of the streaming platforms such as Prime Video, Quibi or Netflix. He also express his great interest in making documentary style films that could aware the world about issues we all could be facing years coming.
