Emilio Subia is an award-winning filmmaker born and raised in Quito, Ecuador. He started shooting films at eleven years old with a small DV camera and hasn't stopped since then. His films explore deep conflicts of youth, identity, and family relationships. His filmography spans the world of fiction, documentary, and experimental film. He attended Universidad San Francisco de Quito and Boston University College of Communication for Film and TV, and currently works as a freelance editor.
