Tony McMahon is a regular history and science contributor on TV documentaries broadcast on Discovery, Science, Travel, History, Smithsonian, UKTV and other channels.Tony McMahon has appeared in several seasons of Strange Evidence (Discovery), Forbidden History (Discovery Science/UKTV) and Private Lives (Smithsonian/UKTV). On Strange Evidence, he has examined seemingly unsolvable incidents captured on CCTV that defy science and reason. Tony McMahon appeared across seasons four, five and six of Forbidden History, presented by Jamie Theakson in the UK. Subjects have varied from the real James Bond, the Dead Sea Scrolls, the mystery of the Crystal Skulls, the Bermuda Triangle and the truth about Jesus. He has filmed on location including with presenter Scott Wolter on America Unearthed (Travel), Rob Riggle Global Investigator (Discovery) and Buried (History). 2020 sees him as a contributor on 'Secrets of the Lost Ark' (Like A Shot Entertainment) examining whether the Knights Templar really found the Ark of the Covenant. His published books have included Original Rude Boy (Aurum Press/Quarto), co-written with Neville Staple of legendary 1980s ska and 2Tone band, The Specials, in development as a movie with a screen credit for Tony McMahon and the book. Tony McMahon was award shortlisted for his biography of the black British boxer, Errol Christie - No Place To Hide (Aurum Press/Quarto). In 2016, he co-authored a globally reviewed analysis of political Islamism with Sara Khan - The Battle for British Islam (Saqi Books) - with media coverage in The Sunday Times, CNN, BBC and Channel 4 News.
