Brenda Gutierrez

Brenda Cristina Gutierrez, is a first generation Mexican American actress born and raised in San Diego, CA. Brenda's introduction to acting began while attending a beginning acting class at a community college. At the time she was studying political science at San Diego State University, but unable to ignore the impact acting had on her, made the difficult decision to discontinue her academic studies. Moving to Los Angeles shortly after, to pursue acting full time. She has completed a two year Meisner program, taught by Don Bloomfield, student of the late Sanford Meisner, and alumni of The Neighborhood Playhouse School in New York. Additional training includes improv at The Groundlings, TV Sitcom Essentials at Actors Comedy Studio, and commercial training at Killian's Workshop. Brenda continues to attend Don Bloomfield's weekly master class. Always asking more of herself, and continually striving to produce honest and vulnerable work. On a ordinary day you can find her exploring the many hiking trails of Los Angeles, browsing the new age section of Barns and Noble, volunteering for the non profit organization Reading to Kids, and hanging out with her cat. She is commercially represented by Firestarter Entertainment Talent Agency, and is actively seeking theatrical representation.
