David Joohun Lee is a Korean American Doctor turned Actor from New Jersey. After growing up playing tennis competitively, he switched his focus to studying biochemistry and sociology at NYU. After graduating magna cum laude, he won a Fulbright Scholarship to research the transmission of Dengue Virus in rural Honduras for one year. He then went on to receive his MD from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where he spent his nights and weekends on the other side of campus attending film classes, performing in an improv troupe, and frightening his Asian parents. Upon graduation from medical school, he moved to Los Angeles where he fully committed himself to acting. He completed the UCB Core Improv Program and was selected as part of their advanced Academy training. He is on track to complete the Conservatory Program at the BaronBrown Studio in July 2020. He was recently selected as a 2020 Sundance fellow for his feature film project Transplant.
