Adam is an award-winning producer/director with a curiosity for the world and a passion for sharing stories that move and inspire. Adam's most recent project followed the fortunes of a Peruvian teenager, Jhonny Guerrero, over a 5 year period as he fought to achieve his dream of becoming a pro-surfer and to raise his family out of poverty. The film 'Into The Storm [En La Tormenta]' was commissioned by Mandy Chang for BBC Storyville (the corporation's flagship documentary strand) and co-produced in partnership with Dimitri Doganis of RAW TV. 'Into the Storm' was the winner of Best Documentary Feature at the Brooklyn Film Festival 2020 and also won the Audience Award for Best Documentary and the best-in-festival 'Grand Chameleon' award - the first time in the 23 year history of the festival that a film has won all three awards. A creative at heart, Adam studied and worked in design before following his passion for photography into the camera department where he worked as a DP for commercials and documentary before transitioning to directing Fascinated by the human condition, Adam seeks out projects with compelling characters at their core. Whether he is filming in the barrios of Lima, in the Amazon rain-forest, or on mountaintops in Alaska, Adam has extensive experience of working around the world and the skills required to collaborate with others and to sensitively share their stories.
