Alix Oliver is a director, screenwriter, producer, and production manager. As a young child, Alix developed an interest in pop culture, particularly in videos games, comic books and film. He loved to break down the psyche of characters to get a better feel of their purpose in the story. Although he originally wanted to pursue a career as a veterinarian, Alix soon realized that his true passion was in film making. In high school, Alix was struck by an SUV which caused severe neurological damage. Even though this accident had caused a major physical setback, Alix persevered to graduate Wheeler High School with honors. Promptly after graduating high school, Alix attended Kennesaw State University as well as the Georgia Film Academy. During his studies, he met several passionate film students with whom he developed friendships and, later, business relationships. In 2017, Alix wrote, produced, directed and edited his first short film, "The Last Years of Abel Bernette". In 2018, Alix continued to develop his skill as a film maker by earning his certification in AVID Media Composition. He also had the opportunity to work on "The Conjuring 3" within the Art Department. There, he was able to learn new skills including prop making, 3d printing, communication and office skills for film, and an introduction to graphic designing. Since then, Alix has kept himself busy through several short film projects including "Little Marie" (Director, Producer, and UPM), "Good News"(2nd Assistant Director), "The Deal" (BTS Photographer), "Chasing Cars" (Executive Producer), "Embezzlement" (Producer and UPM) and "The 80s" (Producer and UPM). In 2020, Alix founded "Midnight Coffee Productions," a production company which he runs with the peers he met at the Georgia Film Academy. Moving forward, Alix plans to work in the production and accounting departments for other feature length films and television shows while building his company. Currently, he has multiple projects in pre-production that are scheduled to film throughout 2020 and 2021. Alix would like to thank his family for all their support throughout the years, especially his grandfather and uncle who have always been role models to him.
