Raymond York

Raymond York was born Raymond Andrew York on April 7, 1977 in Ocala, Florida. Raymond lived and went to school in Chiefland, FL until graduating High School and enlisting in the Marines in June of 1995. Raymond served in the Marines from 1995 until 2005 when he settled down in Orlando, FL. While serving in the USMC Raymond spent time in several states including California, Arizona, North Carolina and South Carolina. He also served overseas in Okinawa, Japan and traveled around South East Asia on the USS Germantown doing training and humanitarian work in the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand. In 2002 Raymond, a Sergeant in the Marines, attended Extreme Cold Weather Training in Bridgeport, CA and then went on to spend a month in Norway during an arctic simulated battle. The last deployment Raymond made overseas was during the war in Iraq when he spent spent 4 months in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Raymond was presented the Navy and Marine Corps achievement medal for his role as a Platoon Sergeant during the war. After receiving an honorable discharge from the United States Marines in 2005 Raymond worked for a short time with the Department of Corrections in Florida before taking a job as a Maintenance Technician with a multifamily housing developer. Raymond worked his way up to Maintenance Supervisor before going to school and receiving his real estate license. At that time in July of 2009 Raymond began working full time in his own maintenance company named Sgt York's Property Maintenance along with practicing real estate. In 2012 Raymond, started another venture by being awarded a contract with the State of Florida to catch nuisance alligators in south Lake County. Raymond continues to hold this contract today and catches approximately 100 alligators per year between the months of April and November. In 2018 Raymond revisited a passion in acting that had been held back since high school. He was cast as Mr Big in a murder mystery show with Mimi's Community Theater in Winter Garden, FL. Raymond fell back in love with acting and has since been cast in two productions, "Wetwork" which is a detective crime web series as Detective Garret Holt and in "The Haunting at Beverly Mansion" as Jim, a husband and father who moved into a haunted mansion. Raymond is looking forward in 2019 to doing many more projects and also joining SAG-AFTRA in the future.
